Project description:

Our client is one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Europe, used by millions of users every day. The company connects sellers - from small businesses to global brands - with customers, offering a vast product selection, fast delivery, and a well-crafted shopping experience.

The subject of the contract is the provision of professional support in the delivery of projects within the Delivery Experience area. The project focuses on critical services along the shopping journey, responsible for predicting delivery times using statistical algorithms and machine learning, selecting optimal delivery methods tailored to customers, and integrating with carrier companies.

The role:

  • Developing and maintaining processes for handling large volumes of data using state of the art tooling like BigQuery, Airflow and dbt.

  • Streamlining and developing the data architecture that power analytical products and work along teams of experienced data engineers and analysts.

  • Helping drive adoption of AI in analytics, unlocking new possibilities on top of our data mesh.

  • Developing tooling for monitoring and enhancing the quality and integrity of the data.

  • Managing and optimizing costs related to our infrastructure and data processing.

Job requirements

  • At least 3 years of commercial experience in data engineering.

  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery.

  • Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer.

  • Proficiency in dbt for data transformation and modeling.

  • Solid experience with Git/GitHub for version control.

  • Expert-level knowledge of SQL.

  • Good programming skills in Python.

  • English level min. B2+.

Nice to have:

  • Logistics knowledge, LookML/Looker.
